A project on installing a solar photovoltaic distribution network at Kampung Pucur, Johor has been initialed since November 2022. The project has been accordingly completed with a hope that it provides a positive impact to the targeted community not only economically but also in social aspects. The residents of Kampung Pucur now can enjoy free electricity for basic electrical loads using the installed solar renewable energy supply and are continuously learning how to practice energy saving with the presence of the energy limiter integrated into the system. It is hoped that with the implementation of this project, the social quality of the residents is improved and they are able to enjoy savings on electricity consumption, instead of spending collectively almost RM4,000/month for diesel generators.
