The IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS) Malaysia Chapter collaborated with TNBR Labs to organize a Webinar entitled “Analysis and investigation of power transformer failure”. The talk was held online via Cisco WebEx and was attended by around 287 participants.

In this talk, Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Aizam Talik (Head of Advanced Diagnostic Services TNBR) started with a quick introduction of transformer failure curves. Next, he explained about the importance of transformer reliability analysis and component failure. Next, Dr Aizam explained about the concept of transformer FMECA and failure investigation. He also shared several case studies related to transformer failure.

It is hoped that the experience and knowledge shared during the webinar are beneficial to all participants.
