Visitors to UPNM High Voltage Laboratory

In conjunction with the Malaysian High Voltage Network (MyHVnet) AGM held at Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) on 18th July 2019, members of IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society (DEIS) Malaysia Chapter and Malaysian High Voltage Network (MyHVnet) visited UPNM High Voltage Laboratory.

During the visit, Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Taufiq Ishak, the supervisor of the lab, introduced various high voltage engineering facilities available in the lab to the visitors. Then, a short demonstration on breakdown in air under high impulse voltage was conducted by Dr. Taufiq. Dr. Taufiq welcomed the visitors to use the lab facilities anytime for research and teaching purposes and also encouraged collaborations related to high voltage engineering activities.
