MyHVnet 2019 AGM attendees

Malaysian High Voltage Network’s (MyHVnet) 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on 18 January 2019 at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM). It was attended by about 40 high voltage experts from different universities and industries across Malaysia. The meeting was also co-organised by IEEE DEIS Malaysia Chapter members.

The AGM began with its 2017/2018 Chairman Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Zainal Abidin Ab. Kadir of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) delivering his opening speech. Prof. Zainal also extended his warm welcome to new members of MyHVnet. This was followed by the endorsement of the 2018 AGM minutes and 2018 treasurer’s report. Prior to the dissolution of the 2017/2018 committee, Prof. Zainal thanked all the 2017/2018 committee members and all MyHVnet members for their voluntary and co-operative effort to ensure the success of MyHVnet under his leadership.

Among the highlights concluded from the 2019 MyHVnet AGM were the coordination of the competence requirements of high voltage related personnels, the suggestions of industrial related activities and the planning of the International Conference on the Properties and Applications of Dielectric Materials (ICPADM) 2021.
