The 2016 annual general meeting (AGM) of IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation society (DEIS) Malaysia chapter was successfully held on 25th January 2016 in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The meeting was attended by 16 active members of IEEE DEIS Malaysia Chapter and chaired by Dr. Yanuar Zulardiansyah Arief from UTM, Malaysia.

The meeting began at 5 pm with a welcoming speech by Dr. Yanuar as the IEEE DEIS Malaysia Chapter. The meeting was continued with endorsement of 2015 AGM minutes, endorsement of 2015 Society Annual report, endorsement of Treasurer’s Report and Account for 2015, dissolution of Committee for 2015 and appointment of Committee for 2016.

The appointed IEEE DEIS Malaysia Chapter committee members for 2016 are as follows:

The meeting was continued with discussion on activity plans in 2016. Among proposed activities are organising seminars, workshops, talks, membership drive, technical visits, colloquium and conferences.

The meeting ended at 6 pm.
